The Lions started well against Great Barr Harriers. They were comfortable in defence and looked threatening in attack. George Bicknell and Connor Byrne supported Ella Spears and Richard Sutton well in midfield. Connor saw a really good effort shave the left hand post and Ryan Wood had a couple of good chances to open the scoring. The Lions continued to create some good chances in the second half roared on by their assistant manager Jeff Sutton and parents. Then against the run of play Great Barr scored two quick goals. Battling Ella Spears was felled by a heavy challenge in midfield and had to leave the pitch to recieve attention, however she showed true grit to come back on 3 minutes later to continue until the end of the game. The Lions rallied and continued to press Great Barr but were unable to equalise. Well done Lions, you continue to improve and show real spirit. Man of the match a tie between Joshua Guest and Aaron Clee
