Lane Head started this game well and put the Lions under immediate pressure. They were unable to score due to some excellent defending by Charlie Smith and Joshua Guest, and a confident display in goal by Aaron Clee. The Lions soaked up this early pressure and started to push Lane Head back with some good counter attacks. Ella Spears took a quick and intelligent short corner to Charlie Smith who then fired the ball into the net from 20 yards. Lane Head continued to attack the Lions goal and came close to scoring however a brilliant block on the line by Joshua Guest.

The second half followed a similar pattern to the first, Lane Head seeing alot of the pocession in the Lions half and the Lions making a number of good chances on the break away. One of these break aways saw Ryan Wood pass the ball 30 yrds to Richard Sutton who’s effort on goal was well saved by the Lane Head keeper. Lane Head finally made the break through and scored towards the end of the game.
