The lads were pumped up for this game and the thought of lifting the cup spurred them on.Plenty of action first half with Matty and Harvey coming close to scoring but being denied by super saves from the Silverdale Saints keeper,LK09 conceded the first goal but the lads kept their cool and won a free kick which Harvey smashed into the back of the net.Lewis adds another goal to the tally with a thunderous strike from well within our half,second half Silverdale Saints fire a cracking shot but was denied by a fantastic save from Logan,the tension was building as both teams could see the Final in their grasps ,Allan came close but Luke comes on and within 2 minuets scores a cracker.Silverdale Saints kept on battling resulting in a goal from a throw in,with clock counting down the lads kept their heads and earned a place in the FINAL.

LK09 were now in their dream of playing in a FINAL and with rested legs and full of nervous energy were keen to prove a point.First half  the work they were doing in training was paying off,the passing, moving and work rate was commendable,LK09 goal came off the end of a 7 man passing movement which finaly ended up with Keane setting up Harvey to put it away in the back of the net.Shire Oak came back and very nearly lobbed Logan but he managed to stretch a few more inches and keep the shot out,the game was end to end with fantastic flowing and passing football off both teams.Second half carried on as the first half finished with Matty and Harvey going close,Shire Oak kept up the pressure on LK09 goal but we stayed strong and didn’t give up,this was going to be our day,Logan again pulled of another good save and then the final whistle went,the lads went mad with celerbration and they deserved it.

LK09 fought hard to get to the FINAL and fought hard to win it,they never gave up throughout both games,LK09 have 2 of the proudest managers,parents and supporters                             WELL DONE LADS
