LK09 v Pelsall Villa Colts

Within 20 seconds Pelsall had scored ! We just wasn’t awake ! Once we had woken up we defended well.  Harry (H) took one on the chest and Tom marked their No.8 extremely well considering how much bigger he was.  Pelsall had a throw in but Lewis was there to kick it right back down the field.  Matty made a run for it but just couldn’t get it in the back of the net.  Going into the half time we were still one goal down but we were defending well and taking every opportunity to try and equalise.

Within 20 seconds Matty had another shot at the goal but was unlucky.  We were still staying strong.  A corner by Pelsall was kneed out by Logan.  Attempts were made by Matty, Keane, Allan, Luke and Harvey but we just couldn’t get the goal ! Joe continued to clear the ball in defence but a short corner by Pelsall and they managed to score their final goal in the last few minutes of the game.

LK09 v Shire Oak Magpies

There was some great passing between the lads in this game.  Harvey to Matty,  nearly scored.   A shot by Keane to Harvey was saved by their goalie but Harvey went back in to try again.  Harvey’s perseverance was rewarded 30 seconds later with our first goal. An unlucky shot by Tom kept up the pressure then Matty came along and scored another goal ! A pass from Harvey to Matty enabled him to score our third goal!   Another chip in by Matty, another goal and a hat-trick for Matty !  We stayed strong in defence with Lewis and Harry as we went into the second half in a very strong position.

A big goal kick from Logan enabled Matty to use the bounce and bang in yet another goal ! By now the atmosphere was exciting and the lads just kept on going with further attempts by Harvey from a corner by Tom.  Allan attempted a goal from a chip in but was unlucky.  A pass from Keane to Luke nearly scored yet again !  A well deserved win for LK09.  They ALL worked very hard.

Man of the Match were : Joe and Matty
