Wyrley Meerkats U11 0 V Hednesford United U11 2
A capacity crowd saw the Meerkats start strong against a well organised Hednesford side. Dealing well with a barrage of ‘Rory Delap’ esq throw ins and precision corners. A battling display by the midfield Meerkat General Erin Waddilove ensured that Hednesford knew who was the boss!
After a bout of heavy pressure Hednesford broke the deadlock after the Meerkats failed to clear their lines with a shot from inside the box. It was a game of countless Hednesford corners and was only a matter of time before one paid off where one snuck in at the near post!
A few notable saves by Skye’ The Troll’ Lee kept the score at a minimum.
The Meekats rarely threatened the Hednesford goal as United kept on the offensive.
