Wyrley Panthers v Beacon Lions
Another scintillating display by the boys with beautiful, quick passing and movement throughout and some wonderful goals scored.
The boys have not let the new retreat rule at goal kicks spoil their quick play and have taken the risk to play it out as quickly as possible to keep up the momentum and pace of the game. The one touch passing and movement has been a joy to behold with Ben ‘Whizza’ Herrington having a fabulous game and deservedly winning man of the match.
The goals in this game were shared out and scored by Ben ‘Whizza’ Herrington, Sam ‘Scotty’ Scott, Josh ‘Smasher’ Mason, Ashton ‘Goals’ Cooper and Ben ‘Tank’ Maginness.
Well done boys!
Wyrley Panthers v Great Barr Harriers
The Panthers started the game brilliantly and it was wave after wave of attacks culminating in goals from George ‘G Man’ Whitehouse’ and Sam ‘Scotty’ Scott, who appeared to score with his back-side.
However, Harriers refused to give up and gave a very good account of themselves.
The boys maybe became a little overconfident with the ball and took a few too many risks but still added to the scoresheet with goals from Ben ‘Whizza’ Herrington and Ashton ‘Goals’ Cooper.
Ben ‘Tank’ Maginness had a blinding game, having made a number of surging runs and nearly scoring on several occasions. Despite being unable to find the back of the net, Tank was the unanimous choice for man of the match.
Well done boys!
