The panthers were up against Lane Head Tigers in the 2nd round of the Bilston Cup on Sunday.
The weather was foggy when we first arrived but soon cleared up to make it a sunny dry day, perfect for playing to our win.
Just before kick off, the gaffer said to us all ‘don’t panic if they score a goal or two!’ This advice came handy as this is exactly what the Tigers done, 10 minutes into the game we were 2-0 down, the Tigers certainly turned up for a fight and thought they were the king of the jungle!!
Once we settled into the game, the goals started to flow. Our first goal came from Scotty who scored an outstanding goal from a free kick, shortly followed by Tank bringing the score all level at 2-2.
After a little telling off from the ref for a bit of boys business inside the box, I scored our 3rd goal so for the first time in the game we were taking the lead. By half time the score was 4-2 with a goal from Harvey.
After an encouraging team talk off Ian (the gaffer) at half time, we all came out playing a passing game to make sure we kept possession of the ball so we could secure the win.
Other goals were scored by George and Tank with the final score being 7-3.
