Panthers start quickly in local derby!
The Panthers scored the quickest goal the referee had recorded in a game when Whizza opened the scoring following a slick move 14 seconds after the game started against Hawkins Sports LK09.
The boys continued their quick start with their pass and move philosophy and were 6-0 up by half-time. The lads took the high-tempo football that has been drilled in training into the game and by half-time were out of the reach of their opponents.
LK09 did not give up in the second half and persevered until the final whistle scoring a quality free-kick in the process.
However, the LK09 keeper was in great form in the second half and made some excellent saves with all areas of his body to keep the score down to 7-1.
The goalscorers on the day were Whizza (2), Tank (1.5, shared goal with Tommy), Tommy (1.5), Harvey (with a long-range effort against his old club) and a cheeky chipped finish from Louis.
Man of the matches were awarded to Tank, who was unstoppable on the day in the centre of midfield, and Louis, whose chipped finish was like something off FIFA 16.
Our next fixture is on Sunday 1st November at home in the Bilston Cup against Lane Head Tigers.
