Today was the first game for The Panthers at their new home in Long Lane, a pre season friendly against Shelfield.

The first half was dominated by the Panthers but in the first 15 minutes a goal would just not come until Tommy pounced and placed the ball into the bottom corner. Two minutes later Tommy scored again with a screamer from a tight angle.

At half time it was Panthers 2 Shelfield 0.

In the second half the goals started to flood in. Within 4 minutes of the kick off the Panthers were 4 -0 up. With Ben Herrington,  Ashton Cooper and George Whitehouse providing goals the Panthers were 7-0 up. A couple of minutes later Louis Beesley scored the 8th , taking the ball around the keeper. With more goals from George, Tommy, Sam and Ben the Panthers were now amazingly 14-0 up.

Ashton Cooper scored the last goal with a low down shot beyond the reach of the keeper.

The final score Panthers 15 Shelfield 0.

Well done Panthers. Sounds like the best goal was scored by someone named Louis Beesley?
