As the weekend was meant to be a free weekend of fixtures, the Panthers were entered into Saturday’s Lane Head 7×7 tournament at Goals, Willenhall.

The boys advanced from the Group Stages with ease scoring in excess of 15 goals in 3 games without conceding, winning one of those games 7-0.

In the Semi-Finals the boys again advanced with relative ease into the final of the competition where they would face Cresswell.

Unfortunately, the boys prolific finishing evaded them in the final and despite dominating possession and chances, including hitting the post late on in the game, the match went straight to penalties following a goalless draw.

The Panthers missed their first penalty, and as only three penalties were allowed, had no opportunity of getting themselves back into the shootout.

The boys can be proud of how they played all day with some outstanding passing football on show.

The boys would also like to thank their kit sponsor Fashion Factory, as they looked so professional in their stylish kit.  And a big thank you also goes to the Panthers’ new Tracksuit sponsor One Stop Stores for the amazing tracksuits that kept the boys warm on a cold January day!
