Pumas had not played Lichfield before so we went to this match with the rumour that Lichfield were a good strong team and this would be a hard game to win.

Within 2 minutes of the game starting Lichfield scored, they were good.  Within the next 10 mins they scored again.  “Come on girls, you can do it, keep going”, all us parents were shouting.   They made us proud and Hannah put a goal in the net for us, closely followed by Dani.   We were now 2 – 2 by half time.  Don’t know what was said to them at half time but the look on their faces at the beginning of the second half was shear determination either to win or hold a draw.

Our girls in defence, Chloe W, Emily, Beckie and Perse held strong with some strong kicks sending the ball flying back down the other end, no way were they going to let that ball through.  Chloe R and Dani were tackling hard through the middle with the support of Sian and Jade on the wing. PT who is new to the game and playing with an injury to her knee which we all could see as she limped round the pitch tried her very best and kept going for the whole game – well done PT.  With a bit of fancy footwork Sian put another goal in the net – we were now in the lead, but this was still a tough game so we had to stay strong.   Dani took the winning goal for us making it 4.  This was a very competitive game and with the team playing strong with some good passing  enabled us to take the win.

Chloe our goalie had to work really hard in this game gaining her parents player.  Manager player was awarded to Dani.

Well done Pumas you really gave this all you could, at least 150% – lets keep it going

Well done to Lichfield, they made us work hard and it was a really good game all the girls played extremely well. xx
