Wyrley Reserves 2 – Bilbrook 1
by cougars on Aug.09, 2014, under Match Reports, Men Reserves 14/15
Reserves start with a good 3 points against a very good Bilbrook side . Both sides started well with early chances but neither could find the net Wyrley then got a grip of the game controlling the possession without really creating much . A change at left back saw Wyrley go behind while still trying to reorganise , a double deflection saw the ball loop into the far corner . The 2nd half started scrapy with both sides not really able to get hold of the ball . Bilbrook should of doubled their lead after 15 minutes their forward clean through managed to hit the bar with only the keeper to beat . Wyrley drew level moments later Ryan Mason on debut latched onto a through ball lashing the ball into the far corner. Both sides had chances before the Bilbrook keeper could only parry a Ryan Mason freekick Alex Foreshaw quickest to react & poke the ball home . Good start to the season for the boys who are now unbeaten through their preseason games as well .
