WYRLEY TIGERS U10 – Match Report 7/09/14
by Si's Tigers on Sep.09, 2014, under Match Reports, Under 14s Rangers 18/19
Well it’s here again, back to getting up early on a Sunday morning to watch the lads do battle on the pitch. It has been a long sunny summer with lots of training the odd tournament and one or two pre- season friendlies. We have also gained a couple of new players, Luke and Lewis who have bought a new dynamic to the Tigers game. We are pleased to welcome them and their parents to the “Tiger family”.
WYRLEY TIGERS Vs FC PREMIER
Straight from the off we could all see the lads were up for it they were passing the ball round like mini pro’s with some superb link ups and plenty of good strong tackles being played. Iron man Will was in defence and put another solid performance in with very little getting passed him in fact our class keeper Joe T. only touched the ball three time throughout the entire game just showing how well the tigers played.
Jack and Arron held the midfield up beautifully both playing to their strengths and feeding some wonderful balls through to the wings and upfront players.
Tom scored with a fantastic strike finding the back of the net with ease. Rodda played his socks off, he was determined to score as it was Si’s birthday ( Roddas dad, and the best manager out their) he didn’t disappoint the second he saw his opportunity he let rip and placed the ball neatly passed the oppositions keeper. We didn’t have to wait long for new player Lewis saw an opportunity after some lovely passes and smoothly got his first goal for the Tigers.
Luke came close a couple of times too but unfortunately didn’t find the back of the net. He seems to always be in the right place at the right time so I am sure he will score plenty of goals, we are all looking forward to seeing him develop as a player.
Fc premier are a new team and this was their first game they played well and I am sure they will only get stronger as the season progresses welcome to the league boys.
WYRLEY TIGERS Vs BLOXWICH RANGERS
This game we knew would be quiet challenging for the tigers, but the lads were full of confidence and were hungry for the win. Once again the passing was superb and the football just flowed.
Jack was causing all sorts of problems for the rangers with strong tackles and thunderous shots coming from know where not to mention superb ball control and link up play, Scott to was having a fantastic game with some nifty footwork and strong tackles and troubling the rangers defence. Thomas scored with a brilliant shot slotting nicely passed the rangers keeper. The rangers managed to get a shot of out witting Joe T. the second half the boys fought hard Rodda was on fire knocking balls round players and feeding loads into the box it wasn’t long before a nicely placed cross came in and Tom cleverly volleyed the ball into the back of the rangers net. Arron also had a few chances with a couple of brilliant headers just missing the target.
Great start boys. It was a pleasure to watch and the perfect Birthday prezzie for your Manager 🙂
