This was the first match the tigers had played for 3 weeks, however the boys had trained hard and showed great energy, commitment and increased positional sense in this close match.
Mathew in goal made a number of excellent saves, whilst Thomas (Captain) Elliot and Ryan had a number of chances to take the lead. The break through came when a good passing move resulted in Elliot running in on goal and despite the defender attempting to foul him he maintained his balance to stroke the ball into the bottom right hand corner. Tipton then came back into the game in the second half and threatened the Tigers goal on a number of occasions, however Mathew managed to keep them out with a number of good saves. New boy Richard showed good determination and touch in his first match for the Tigers. Joel and Zak in defence also played well to ensure a clean sheet. The Tigers finally ran out 1-0 winners.
Well done boys.
