This game was a rearranged match due to Beacon Warriors failing to show up. This meant that ther Lions lined up against the best team in the division last season for only their second match as a team. The Lions were not phased and held Brewood for most of the first half with some excellent tackling from OwenSimkiss-Lloyd in defence.
The lions again came out in the second half and held their own, Connor Byne and George Bicknell were getting around the Brewood midfield players, whilst Joshua Guest and Charlie Smith were dribbling the ball well out of defence. Aaron Clee made some really important stops in goal to keep Brewood at bay. The Lions had a couple of really good chances to score.
Well done lads and Ella welcome to the league, you battled really well and showed a good account of yourselves against this really good Brewood Team.
