Bill Green Cup – Semi Final.

This match was always going to be a challenge against Wednesbury who are  arguably the best team in the league and haven’t lost a match this season.Wyrley Wolves had the better of the early exchanges creating several half chances putting Wednesbury on the back foot. With Jordan Morris being strong in midfield and linking up well with Jacob and Kyle, who looked more threatening up front this week.

Kristian was a menace in midfield as usual creating problems with his pace. The changes happened when Wednesbury hit the bar and had a goal disallowed for a foul on our stand in goalkeeper Aiden, who also made an amazing save in the second half that had all the parents cheering.

Jimmy also had a good game today in midfield and defence and put in one hundred percent effort. His passing range and determination was impressive.

Wyrley Wolves continued to battle hard but found themselves 5-0 down with 15 minutes to go. Several chances were created from set pieces and eventually Wyrley found the net from a throw in from Shamar that found Kyle in the area and scored.

On reflection the whole team worked hard to try and get something out of the game and never gave up! Despite still missing goalie Andrew.

Man of the match today goes to Jordan Morris
