Well after last weeks defeat in the final, we were unsure how the girls would react. Would the defence be cantankerous? Would the midfield be melancholic? Would the strikers be sedated?  When the 1st goal came on 15mins, via a free kick brilliantly struck which cleared the wall into the top right hand corner of the net, all of the above seemed to apply as it was Kewford who took the lead.  This was the catalyst wyrley needed, as 16mins Lauri hit a fantasic shot into the bottom corner, 1-1.  Wyrley started to string passes together and some wonderful runs by Kelly and Tash were a constant threat to Kewfords defence.  35 mins and Tash crossed to Vicky who hit an amazing cross/shot/clearance which somehow ballooned over the keeper, 2-1

2nd Half started with Wyrley attacking from kick off and were awarded a corner on 50mins, Chelsea sent in a lovely ball which bounced off somepart of Kirstys head making it 3-1.  The defence of Jody, Hayley, Ash and Kirsty were doing a gret job of keeping Kewford strikers to shots from outside the box. Lauren didnt have to do much but she did everthing required to keep them from adding a second.  Sophie showed us some super skill in evading the Kewford defenders and crossed some excellent balls into the box.  When Charlie and Leanne came on the fresh legs seemed to boost the whole team for the final push.  80mins and Leanne scuffed a proper grubhunter shot which somehow rolled under the keeper 4-1.  89 mins with Leanne bursting down the wing, crossed into the box, but having no clear shot was passed back to Tash who unleashed an unstoppable shot 5-1.  Nice game of football played in the proper spirit, keep it up girls not long to go.
