Wyrley Ladies 0-0 Bedworth Utd

Well a case of after the Lord Mayors Show this game was lacking that sparkle of last week’s performance.  Lauren comanded her box well and should be pleased with her clean sheet as should the defence of Jody, Sam, Kirsty and Cath.  Midfielders Tash, Kelly, Emily and Leanne were having trouble getting past the Bedworth midfield who were constantly attacking every ball.  Sophie and Vikki were left chasing long balls which the strong wind carried to far, or being flagged off side by the zealous linesman.  Charlie replace Vikki and Jemma replaced Emily to try and break the dead lock but to no avail.  Leanne was carried off with 10 mins remaining, leaving Wyrley playing with 10 men, but Bedworth could turn the extra man to their advantage.  88 mins the shot of the match resulted in the save of the game, Tash with a 40 yd free kick which was tipped over by the stretching keeper.
