Wyrley Ladies Reserves   5  v  1  ATN Rangers

Wyrley played this game only having 10 players available on the day. The game started and within 3 minutes Leanne Mitchell latched on to the ball on the edge of the box and slotted home the 1st of her 5 goals. As the match went on Wyrley took complete control and expected a stronger opposition, however the quality of Wyrley’s passing and movements completely overshadowed any effort ATN gave in responce. The exceptional pace from Vikki Shaw who laid on 3 assists and Natasha Lilly who run the midfield saw Wyrley go in at half time 4-0 up.

The second half commenced and due to most of the players having played a match for the u17’s team the previous day on Saturday, the pace slowed down and ATN came fighting back but superb defending by Jody Richards, kept the score 4-0 until the last 10 minutes of the game when ATN pulled one back. However a great through ball from Kelly Highman to Kelly Isaac’s who provided the precise pass to Mitchell whose shot rebounded off the ATN keeper back into her own path where she calmley side footed it into the corner of the net.

An excellent all round performance from the team

Martin – I think I’m the first one to post a message! Well done to the managers and particularly the girls. The Club expectations are that you should go on to win this league! Keith Hardy, Chairman
