The Mens 1st team continued their unbeaten pre-season schedule with two wins in the space of four days.

Firstly on Saturday, Wyrley edged a tight contest against Lea Hall Athletic 2-1 with goals from Wayne Durnall and a late winner from Adam Brough. New Goalkeeper Russell Todd also made an excellent Penalty save late in this game.

Then on Tuesday night Wyrley travelled to Newport to take on Chid FC and ran out comfortable 4-2 winners. Wayne Durnall scored twice to take his tally to 4 goals in 3 games while Dan Kalinski and Jimmy Moore both got on the scoresheet.

Wyrley have two more pre-season fixtures this week, firstly against Walsall Wood on Thursday and then Brereton Social on Saturday. Both games will be played at The Red Lion Ground, Armitage Lane, Brereton before the season kicks off next Saturday with a visit to Black Country Rangers.
