Wyrley Panthers 2 Chasetown Girls 0

This game v Chasetown was only re arranged at the last minute for a 3- 30 kick off due to Chasetown’s pitch being frozen.
However the game went ahead at home on a very lumpy pitch, not frozen, but hard underneath which saw the ball bobble all over the place.
After 3 minutes Chasetown were awarded a dubious penalty, after Shannon had moved to one side to intercept a cross and the ball unfortunately hit her arm, the penalty was missed and went wide. Within 5 more minutes Panthers had another penalty awarded, once again a bit dubious and again against Shannon, who simply put her hands in front of her face to protect a close shot from hitting her in the face, again the awarded penalty was missed. However Wyrley shrugged this off and went on to score 2 goals coming from Jodie and Alicia.
Not the best of games due to poor weather but another 3 well earned points.
Well done girls again.
