FC PREMIER 0 v 1 WYRLEY TIGERS
Tigers improved on recent performances with a narrow victory against a well drilled FC Premier, Both teams created chances in the first half but good defending kept shots on goal to a minimum, Harry Simkin, Tom Rowlands and man of the match Tom Peacock giving solid performances in the tigers defence, A William Meredith shot struck the post just before half time as the half ended in deadlock. The game flowed from end to end in the second half, Tigers defence held firm there was fine saves from Simkin but also chances for Ben Southall and Duncan Reilly at the other end of the pitch. With about five minutes to go a throw in found Southall whose pass found Meredith to plant his shot in the corner of the net and give Tigers the win, well deserved after a great team effort by all.
HEDNESFORD HARRIERS 2 v 1 WYRLEY TIGERS
Harriers started this game well and a hesitant Tigers were on the back foot, Harriers took the lead from a corner to give them a goal their early pressure deserved. The second half and Harriers continued to press and went 2 up, Tigers did however respond this time and began to get more possession, although the final ball was not quite there. A tackle by man of the match Bradley Clements and pass to Ben Southall set Tigers away the ball finally broke to Duncan Reilly who placed his shot in the corner of the net. Tigers pressed hard for the last few minutes but Harriers held on for the win.
