CRESSWELL WANDERERS 0 v 2 WYRLEY TIGERS
This was a good all round performance from the ever improving Tigers. Tigers early pressure paid off when man of the match Sam Foreman directed a well taken free kick into the top corner of the net, more attacking football followed from the Tigers, another free kick in a similar position saw the unlucky Foreman hit the inside of the upright and the Tigers follow up was just pushed past the post. Cresswell to their credit worked hard, but Duncan Reilly sealed the win when he latched onto a Foreman through ball and deliver a smart finish into the bottom corner of the net.
WYRLEY TIGERS 4 v 2 BEACON PANTHERS
Tigers rich vein of form continued with this comprehensive win over a very competitive Beacon side. The first half saw Tigers take a quick three goal lead, After some good work from Elliot Crook, Duncan Reilly punished the Beacon defence twice with two smart goals, then Ben Southall got into the act, with a fine individual goal to make it three. Tigers lost their shape a little after such a great start and allowed Beacon back into the game, to end the half 3-1 to the good. Beacon upped their tempo and created some pressure of their own, and only some excellent work at the back by man of the match Tom Peacock, Brad Clements and William Meredith kept them at bay. Ben Southall clinched the game for the Tigers though with another great run and finish, but Beacon still came at the Tigers and were rewarded with a second goal.
WYRLEY TIGERS 3 v 1 BUSLEHOLME
Yet another solid performance from the Tigers, The game started quite evenly with both sides having spells of possession, A short corner found the lively Ben Southall who jinked inside the full back, then hit a good low shot to open the account for the Tigers. The bright Duncan Reilly went on a strong run down the right flank, then drove a shot across the goalkeeper, he saved well but could only parry the shot to Sam Foreman who tucked the rebound into the corner of the net for Tigers second. Tigers were quick out of the blocks in the second half and a cross from Elliot Crook was fumbled by the unlucky keeper into the path of Duncan Reilly to hit Tigers third. Tigers though still had to work hard for the victory, Tom Peacock and man of the match William Meredith played well in defence, ably supported by Harry Simkin in the Tigers goal, also a special mention for Brad Clements who worked hard throughout this game. Bustleholme did get a goal back towards the end of the half to give them some reward for their efforts.
