A much changed but equally impressive Panthers side took to the field against a Khalsa side that they had beaten both in Round Robin’s & League this season. It was a shock therefore to see Khalsa take a well deserved lead after 4mins. Nevertheless this gave Panthers the required desire to go on & win the game. On 7mins the ball broke free to joint top goal scorer Ben Malpass who turned the Khalsa defender & tucked away his chance with ease. On 12mins a neatly worked one two between Mally & Elliot Kelsey resulted in a corner which was taken by Tommy Bannister & there was MotM Mally again to notch his second of the game. Other chances came Panthers way with Sam Hadwen smashing a left foot strike off the post just before the break.
Panthers were now in control & this continued in the second half with pocket rocket Tommy Bannister smashing home a low drive from just inside the box. This was quickly followed up a few mins later as Bannister, recording his second of the game with a sweetly struck left foot drive from outside the box to give Panthers a commanding 4-1 lead. Panthers had a number of opportunities to extend their lead which eventually came 3mins from time when Thomas Williamson was on hand to toe poke home Panthers 5th of the game.
