Park Hill Boys 4-1 Wyrley Panthers

After the previous match, confidence was high but Park Hill hadn’t read the script and with the very first attack, Park Hill scored with a high cross come shot from the right hand side of the box that looped over Josh and into the net. Then moments later a second. Park Hill didn’t take their foot off the throttle and put in shot after shot which were either just wide or well saved by Josh. Panthers had a couple of shots from Tyler and Ben which were well saved by their keeper but Park Hill combined movement and passing extremely well and reaped the reward with a further two goals plus striking the cross bar just before half time.
Half Time 4-0.
Panthers got into the match more in the second half, perhaps more down to Park Hills tired legs from their first half exertion than Panthers skill, however play was now far more even as Panthers gained more possession and on 17 minutes, Louie scored, placing the ball in the bottom right corner of the net. Moments later Louie scraped the outside of the right hand post – so close. You felt that if Panthers could just get one more goal back, things might just swing back in our favour. Everyone kept battling but Park Hill found their second wind and began pushing Panthers back, sending in more shots, all very close. Ben got a last minute shot in at the end but unfortunately just wide.
Full Time 4-1.
