Wyrley Lions Under 8’s friendly against Beacon Wariors on 20/03/11

After a 2 weeks break the Lions were desperate to make a good start and immediately put Beacon under pressure with a couple of good passing moves. Josh Guest and Owen Lloyd were in firm command in the defence and provided the ideal foundation to launch a series of attacks through the midfield of Charlie Smith and Connor Byrne. This resulted in well executed goals from Ryan Wood and Ella Spears. Richie Sutton who was covering for the Lions normal goalkeeper Aaron Clee dealt with all the efforts on goal from Beacon Warriors quiet comfortably. The Lions kept pressing forward with some great passing moves that resulted in Josh Guest scoring a brace of goals before the end of the game. Well done lads and Ella a fantastic performance.
