WYRLEY PUMAS UNDER 15’s MATCH REPORT FOR 06/11/10

WYRLEY JUNIORS 2 v 0 COUNDON GIRLS

Wyrley started the game brightly and soon took the lead when the hardworking Jaffa hit her left foot shot from the edge of the box, sweetly enough to find the bottom corner of the net. Wyrley then however had to defend for a while has Coundon to their credit pushed hard for an equaliser. However, the defensive unit of Judson, Parker, Lawton, Costello and Manton kept Coundon at bay. Anderson and Jaffa toiled hard in midfield then a Wyrley break saw Alicia Baker go clear and dispatch her finish neatly into the corner of the Coundon net. At half time Wyrley held a comfortable lead but knew that the second half they would need to continue to work hard to maintain it. Man of the match Abi Hall worked hard up and down the right flank, Meg Titley did the same in the second half down the left flank, Coundon never gave up however and pushed Wyrley hard right up until the final whistle.

This was a solid team performance girls well done and lets keep it up.
