I would imagine Handsworth United couldn’t believe their luck when they realised they would be facing Wyrley Panthers for their first match of the day!!
But did Wyrley Panthers Under 9’s roll over & let them walk all over them…
Oh no!!
The boys really stepped it up a level today!! Lewis made some excellent saves in goal & Will seemed to play with enough passion for the whole team. Although the Panthers couldn’t quite hold back the obviously very well established Handsworth United, an excellent effort was made.
Without a doubt a huge thank you must go to Harry in the second match when Wyrley Panthers faced Tiptown Town. As the team faced crisis point due to no one wanting to be in goal, Harry saved the day & stepped up to the challenge. And what a brilliant job he did, with saves that would have even put a smile on the face of Arsene Wenger Harry really did the team proud. Unfortunately with 2 members of the team absent & without Harry in defence the Panthers didn’t come out on top but hey, we’re sure to win one of these weeks.
Keep smiling lads, see you all for training on Tuesday.
