WYRLEY PUMAS 0 v 4 WEDNESFIELD
A determined Wednesfield team gave the Pumas a harsh footballing lesson, although this was a below par performance from the Pumas. Wednesfield competed well from the start and were soon in front after only a few minutes, Pumas were punished when unable to clear the ball out of defence. With their noses in front Wednesfield grew in confidence and were 2 up after another spell of pressure, Pumas did come back into the game a little more but didn’t seriously test the Wednesfield keeper. Just before the break Wednesfield got their third. Wednesfield were comfortable with their 3 goal advantage, but in the first few minutes of the second half Lucy Wells got clear of the Wednesfield back three but unluckily hit her shot straight at the keeper. Pumas man of the match Ilora Anderson worked hard down the Pumas left, unfortunately with little reward. Wednesfield got their 4th goal to seal the victory late in the second half.
