Lily Simkin – capped by England.

The Club is very proud and extremely delighted that one of its ex-players was capped by England last night!

Lily Simkin, who joined the club’s Girls Academy as a 5 year, progressed through a girls team and a boys team up to U12s, now plays for our sister club Birmingham City Ladies FC.

Her undoubted ability was spotted by England management and she made her debut for England U15s v Switzerland U16s yesterday.

Pictured below is Lily as a youngster – obviously knowing she’d play for England one day – in match action, with her team mates and in her England kit.

She will now join our Hall of Fame – becoming its 6th member.

If you know a girl who would like to start on her footballing journey, please give them our details, leave a message/comment on here or contact Keith on 07836202764. The Club is the largest female club in the country with 14 girls teams, 4 ladies teams, a Mums play Football Centre and 2 FA Wildcats Centres. It is also a sister club to Birmingham City Ladies FC, who play at the top level of English women’s football.

Please share to as many people as possible as we want more girls playing football.
