Club looking to help local community

I’ve just watched the last episode of ‘Operation Meet the Street’ where chef James Martin gets lonely or isolated people in communities to come together – like they used to in the ‘old days’.
The programme is very revealing about today’s society and certainly should make everyone do more to get to know their neighbours.

With this in mind, I’m thinking of inviting all the club’s neighbours in Long Lane to attend a meeting to see whether they want to set up a Residents’ Association or something similar, using the clubhouse as a venue.
Thoughts?
