Corona Virus and local Care Homes

Having watched Breakfast TV this morning, it is clear that residential/care homes are struggling at the moment.
Staff are doing all they can with limited PPE resources and sometimes without the recognition they deserve. Residents have had their limited contact with friends and families taken away from them, with no opportunity to venture outside.
We have 2 residential homes very close to us – The Lakes, who are big supporters of the club, and Conifers.
We want to give them some respite from the challenges they have and we’re looking to deliver to them the following:-

– latex gloves
– biscuits, chocolates, Easter Eggs etc
– letters of appreciation to staff and best wishes letters to residents from our younger players

The club will make a cash donation but we are seeking small personal cash donations too.
Once all in by the end of Saturday night, we will make an order through local supermarkets and make a delivery of hope and thanks to each residential home.

Please support us with this – even if it’s just £1 – as we’d like to thank our local carers as well as give a brief smile to our elderly neighbours.
To make a donation, please comment below and we will message you account details to transfer monies over.

Can our younger teams organise letters – as if they are writing to a care worker or to a grandparent – and let Keith know when you have some and he will advise how to get them there.

Let’s do what we can folks please. Xx

Stay safe. Proud to be Wyrley.
