The U16 Girls are enjoying a superb season in the Staffs County Girls League with some outstanding performances and scoring many goals! Despite every one of the players being extremely shy and reserved, ahem, they are fearsome on the pitch and win, lose or draw their opponents certainly know they have been involved in a tough game! ……. as do coaches Phil, Mark and Calvin at training every Wednesday night!!!
Sponsored by Taylor Construction, Wyrley play on Saturday mornings with home games at Cannock Park and away matches taking them to visit such teams as Stoke, Burton Albion and local rivals Walsall Ladies – 3 games; 3 Wyrley wins this season – who are we????
The girls have their own Face Book Page – check it out – where opponents, Referees and the odd Linesman are regularly ripped apart and ridiculed – all in the name of sporting achievement – along with some in depth match analysis that would make Alan Hansen shiver….. or possibly not!
