A wet & windy Saturday afternoon did not help the type of football Panthers normally play, after winning the toss Panthers decided to kick downhill 1st half with the wind behind them and the rain being blown across the pitch. Panthers took the lead through Alicia after 10 minutes a nice pass from Chloe C, to Jodie who slotted it through the gap for Alicia to slot home. Stags put a great affort into the game and had a couple of chances but Wyrley piled on the pressure and finished off the 1st half 3 – 0 up with another goal from Alicia and 1 from Jodie. Panthers where looking to put more past Stags keeper but she was having an excellent game, holding onto a number of long range shots from Shannon and Lizzie. After a half time talk the girls produced some great passing and runs escpecialy from Amy who weaved in and out of Stags defence and deserved a goal which never came. Ellie gave Panthers some long kicks out of her hands which helped Panthers score 4 goals in the 2nd half, Shannon 1 Jodie 1 and Alica 2.
Maddy slipped into defence alongside Charlotte and Amy to allow Shannon to move up more and 2 of the 2nd half goals came from crosses from Chloe C and Shannon. New signing Chloe T made her debut and had a good game in defence.
Final Score 7 – 0 to Panthers which puts them up into 2nd place in the league with a game in hand.
Keep up the nice passing football girls.
