Cougars have had a poor start to the season with 3 defeats on the bounce with some poor displays. With a change in attitude they have turned their season around, with the best display of them all away to top of the table Four oaks on Sunday. Cougars have taken the incentive in the last 2 games taking the game to their opponents & getting in front early taking complete control of the game , with a 7-2 win at Great Barr & a 2-1 win at Sutton Utd. Cougars where asked to raise the bar again on Sunday & did so in style traveling to undefeated Four Oaks. With only 11 players Cougars took the game to Four Oaks from the off catching them on the back foot & they never recovered. Sam Days through ball saw Joe Mccann finish clinically. Cougars made all the running in the 1st half & desesrved more than their 1 goal lead. The 2nd half started the same Cougars on the front foot again the Four Oaks defence working hard, but it was Joe Mccann again their tormentor with an outstanding strike from outside the box. It wasn’t long before the pressure told again with Waqaar Abbis finishing from close range to close the game off completely. The Cougars’ defence of Luke Ponder, Josh Cowley, Umar Farooq &Matt Harban restricted Four Oaks to 1 header against the bar from a corner all game. Man of the match went to Matt Harban. Same again next week lads
