Bilston Town Under 12’s Floodlit Cup – Round One.
Tuesday 28th September
Pelsall Villa Colts: 2 – 5: Wyrley Juniors Dragons
Dragons came up against Pelsall Villa in their first round tie of the Bilston Town Floodlit League held at Bilston’s Queen Street Ground. Right from the kick off Dragons dominated the play not letting Villa settle on the ball and with some excellent passing moves created a hat full of chances which either were saved by Villas goalie or went just agonisingly wide. Corey eventually opened the scoring for Dragons turning in a cross from Edward after another terrific run down the right flank. This opened the floodgates for Dragons as Kieran S scored two, Jordan C scored and Corey once to make it five. Pelsall scored from a free kick given just outside the area to get a goal back.
Half Time 1 – 5.
Pelsall started the second half the strongest and within minutes had scored their second goal as they caught Dragons on the hop. The chances started coming again as Dragons came alive once more, Ewan had two goals disallowed for offside, Carl skewed a shot wide from six yards out and Kieran S having a shot sail over the cross bar to name a few opportunities that eluded the team in the second half. Despite the lack of goals the second half performance was just as good as the first with Tom, Frasier and Dom holding strong in defence Ethan found himself with little to do in goal.
Full Time 2 – 5.
