Cougar’s travelled to near bye Bloxwich with an side full of injured players on sunday & had to start the game with 10 , with a stand in goal keeper as 2 got lost ! . This only made the lad’s try harder to try & hold Bloxwich until re-enforcements arrived as Bloxwich had scored 16 time’s without reply the week before. As the 1st half went on it was the 10 men of Wyrley who where the stronger team & deservedly took the lead , Joe Mccann brook free down the left turned his defender took the ball around the keeper to see his goal bound shot smashed in by Jack Goodier to give Cougar’s the lead. It wasn’t long before Cougar’s doubled their advantage Luke Childs received the ball just inside the area a neat turn saw him fire the ball into the bottom left hand corner. Cougar’s where up to full strenght at half time but didn’t have the same tempo as the 1st half & wasted a number of chance’s to put the game beyond Bloxwich , Another poor decision by the Cougar’s saw them give away a free kick on the edge of their box which was cooly converted by Bloxwich . This gave Cougars the kick they needed to kill the game off Jack Goodier returning the favor as he crossed for Joe Mccann to get across his defender to give Cougar’s back their 2 goal advantage & see out the game which should of been out of reach mid way through the secound half.
