Panthers u8’s continue great form! Match report 14/09/14

After last weeks great start, panthers u8’s continued there fine form and produced some fantastic team play! Going into this weekend fixtures I knew our boys needed to be on top of there game, as Bloxwich rangers and Pelsall villa fc have always been very close games for us in the past. Panthers started very well with some great passing and finding open space. Our first goal came from Richie early into the first half with an nice neat finish. Captain Joshua Lester bossed defence and produced some text book passing to link up counter attacking from Ryan,Alfie. Richie. Second half got underway with willo and Fraser coming on and continued to keep Bloxwich under control Panthers second, came just after the start of the second half from willo, after reading Bloxwich defensive play to intercept and strike the ball from long range, Bloxwich rangers keeper was unlucky as a lack of concentration allowed the goal to sail passed. panthers Goalkeeper Lukas was solid keeping a clean sheet and saving some fine efforts. Great team play at pressing Bloxwich back to come away with the win 2-0

Panthers second game was against Pelsall villa fc in their back yard! And what a spectacle it’s was, the pressing of the boys was remarkable after changing various positions, Panthers dominated the first half with Willo and Joshua playing on the wings to send some quality balls though for Alfie to exploit, Fraser and Lukas were very disciplined at the back, to keep the pressure on Pelsall villa. It wasn’t long before the pressing paid off with Alfie’s first for the panthers, his persistence paid off at finding them little runs to make space and opportunities. Nice strike into the bottom corner. 1-0 in at half time. Second half started with Ryan coming on for injured Alfie, and Richie coming on for Willo. Pelsall came more into the game in the second half, with Joshua,Richie and Ryan shoring up defence with in form Fraser. Pelsall managed to get one back with a nice strike from the right flank leaving Lukas no chance! Ryan and Richie continued to boss the flanks and both got on the score sheet with some nice link up play and well deserved too.
Game finished 3-1

M.o.t.m Richie Williams

These last 4 games has highlighted how much the boys have come on, every one of them gives 100% commitment, our captain Joshua Lester also showed great leadership qualities, well done boys lets keep it up!

Thank you to all our supportive parents! And my assistants for helping these boys compete and enjoy!
