Promoted to the next Division, the Lions started brightly and battled well in a very even game and some early counter attacks nearly rewarded them with a goal. A Ryan Wood pass to Ella Spears saw her shoot just wide. Another chance saw Ella miss queue a shot that rebounded to Ritchie Sutton who inturn scuffed his own shot. As the game continued, the defence were called into action with Joshua Guest and Owen Lloyd providing excellent cover. George Bicknell and Connor Byrne battled tenaciously in the midfield with Ritchie Sutton providing some good support to the attacks. Aaron Clee made some good stops but it was the Lions who found the net. A neat move saw Ella Spiers receive a long pass from Ryan Wood to score superbly. Well done Lions!
