WYRLEY PUMAS 3 – COLRON GIRLS 2
Pumas have not played the Colron Girls before so we did not know what to expect. It was hard to tell at the start how the game would go. The first half was dominated by the Pumas making the Colron goal keeper work very hard as we always seemed to be down that end of the pitch. Our first goal was scored by Dani much to the delight of the Pumas. This was quickly followed by a goal scored by the Colron Girls. The second half saw both teams eager to win as both upped their game. The Colron girls scored their second goal and the Pumas knew they had to at least draw, therefore Emily A (we think), as there were a lot of girls trying to get a goal, scored for the Pumas. It was now 2 – 2. We needed one more goal and you could see the girls were doing 100% to get it. We did not have to wait long as Hannah put the third goal into the back of the net.
Well done to all the Pumas as they have not played any matches for 3 weeks but they still came on with energy and enthusiasm wanting to get the right result. Jade and PT who are our new girls played exceptionally well, finding their role and position and working well in the team. Fancy footwork from Jade in setting up some goals and nearly scoring herself – well done.
The Colron girls also played well, they were keeping our defence on their toes – well done girls it was a good match.
Parents player was awarded to Beckie
Man of the Match was awared to Chloe R (Vinnie)
