Burton Albion Ladies 0 Wyrley Ladies Reserves 8
Wyrley stay unbeaten this season with a fine all round performance away to Burton Albion Ladies.
Wyrley went in at half time 4-0 up with goals from Leanne mitchell 2, Jade Brooks 1 and Kelly Isaac 1.
Chelsea Burns making her debut was outstanding in midfield whilst Lauren Cresswell in the Wyrley goal had little to do but still had a good solid game. With 4 key players still out this was an impressive show in the league which brings Wyrley up to second place with games in hand over leaders Stoke City.
Mitchell took her seasons league goal tally to 18 with 2 goals in the second half and Jade Brooks also getting another 2 for her hat trick. Kirsty Watkins and Jody Richards also put in fine performances in defence with Captain Emma Archer and full back Emily King also in good form. Mary Chandler had a number of shots saved by the goalkeeper and Kelly Highman set up a couple of goals. Steph Taylor replaced Emma Archer in the second half and also Liv Yarnold made her debut replacing Emily King at full back for the last 25 minutes.
Great Performance Ladies – Lets do it again next week in County Cup – Its a pleasure to watch this team, who put in the effort every week.
