This re arranged match v Cresswell was one of 3 games to be played in the space of 4 days due to the league stating the season is to be finished no later that 3rd May 2009. The match was organised by Cresswell who insisted the game should be played on Saturday afternoon otherwise they could not play the fixture, however the Wyrley players where realy up for this game and came out 4 – 1 winners playing once again quality football. Kelly Isaacs opened the scoring with a well taken goal. Wyrley seemed to be trying too hard and could have easily gone in at the interval 6 up with plenty of 1 on 1 chances, yet they came good in the second half with Leanne Mitchell getting another 2 goals to her tally and Kirsty Watkins going on a solo run down the left and then blast it past the goaly to make it 4, Cresswell scored a consolation goal through Amanda Willis who managed to catch Lauren in goal, just off her line.
Another good result that keeps our title cahnces open.
