WYRLEY LADIES RESERVES – Match Report 28th April 2009

Wyrley Ladies Reserves  9  Bradwell Reserves  0 Not Another Teen Movie film

“Wow”  what a profesional performance from this amazing bunch of girls, 9 goals past the league’s on form team Bradwell. This was not a pushover, it was a quality performance from every player and even the sub’s who came on gave it their all. Wyrley realy needed a point to secure the League title due to our huge goal difference, Leanne getting almost half of this seasons total with 37 goals. (The Reedswood manager standing next to me stated that she has scored more than they have all season). The match was fast flowing and hard to keep a tally of the score, yet we were creating loads of chances and with Jade Brooks doing a great job in midfield coping well with the ever dangerous Bradwell captain.Vikki Shaw opened the scoring after 3 minutes when she took on the left side of defence with one of her runs and went straight for goal, slotting it neatly past the oncoming keeper, Kelly Isaac’s (Captain) scored the next with a brilliant headed goal, a great cross from Tash Lily. The half time score was 5 – 0  goals coming from Leanne Mitchell 1, Vikki Shaw 1 and Tash Lilly 1, a great strike from just outside the box.  Second half started and the pressure was again put on the Bradwell defence with another 2 goal’s from Leanne Mitchell – her third,  a superb shot from just outside the box, Rachell Hall and Mary chandler both came on a notched 1 goal each – Mary’s goal being one of the best this season. Not forgetting the defence who where also excellent with Jodie making superb runs from midfield to create chances.

The game was the best i have honestly seen all season, with a nice comment from the Bradwell manager Neil, who said their first team would have struggled to keep up with the way we played.
